Hi! I’m Lauren.
My own personal journey led me to realise that I was suffering from chronic anxiety. That the feeling of 'nervousness' I had all the time wasn't supposed to be there. I had 'normalised' this feeling and thought it was part of me. I also began to realise that my beliefs about the world and my 'self' were very limiting and negative.
This led me on a journey to understand myself more and what I discovered through my study of Buddhism, neuroscience, the nervous system and much more, is that we are not who we think we are.
We are not our thoughts or our behaviour- these aspects of our 'self' are conditioned by our environment and our upbringing and have become learned behaviour and as such we can 'unlearn' any part of us that isn't serving us.
This information is a liberation!
Using breathwork, voice, meditation, movement and mindset work, I have experienced first hand how we can release chronic stress and anxiety, let go of tension in our muscles, and reprogram the mind to be who we want to be, not who we’ve been taught to be.
