8-Session Overview

You will learn 2 foundational practices that should be a way of life for everyone with busy lives:

  1. How to breathe correctly to calm the nervous system. This can be done when you’re out and about as well as at home. 

  2. How to develop ‘somatic awareness’. This is a foundational practice along with breathing and is essential to be able to live a life InBalance with your body and mind.

Emotions, stress and tension cannot be separated from how you breath and move your body. We can instantly tell how someone is feeling by the way they breathe and move.

Each session also has a movement section blending somatic movement and bioenergetics. These movements are accessible to anyone- whether you’re new to movement or experienced. They are made to identify and release physical tension in the body and are used to recognise physical sensations and connect them to your feelings and past stressful or traumatic events so that you can work through them.

In each session, we focus on a different topic:

    • Setting expectations for the journey.

    • Understanding the deeper layers of the mind and body connection.

    • Exploring the voice of self-doubt and how to counteract it with compassion.

    • Mindfulness techniques for quieting the inner critic.

    • Reflecting on the role of early relationships.

    • Identifying patterns inherited from caregivers.

    • Understanding emotions as signals and allies.

    • Developing skills to navigate and regulate feelings effectively.

    • Creating space to process the loss from unmet needs & expectations.

    • Breathwork and meditation to support release and acceptance.

    • Reframing anger as a tool for growth and boundary-setting.

    • Techniques for expressing anger constructively.

    • Exploring the role of tears in emotional release.

    • Practicing safe and supportive verbal expression.

    • Pulling it all together: tools and practices for a self-led life

    • Celebrating growth and setting practices for the future.
